We are excited to be going online with CZT-EU #4

After organizing and teaching three CZT-Europe seminars in person, we are taking CZT-Europe #4 from March 18-21, 2021 online. This is of course due to the current global pandemic, but even if we are taking this step out of necessity, it offers unique and exciting opportunities.

For example, people who for all kinds of reasons are unable to travel at all, or for whom travel is extremely difficult now have an opportunity to become CZT from home. We’re really happy about this!

The online format also allows Rick and Maria to join us remotely with relative ease. This is another fantastic benefit.

And for the first time, we are going to try and offer simultaneous translations into several other European languages, because there are no spatial constraints on our maximum number of participants.

Following Zentangle, Inc’s very successful online CZT Seminar #36, we are really looking forward to this exciting new experience.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sign up if I don’t live in Europe?

Absolutely! Please be aware, however, that the seminar is on the Central European Time zone schedule. So you may have to keep some unusual hours. Check the time difference using the time zone converter

What technical equipment do I need to participate?

You basically need an internet connection, and an end device with a large screen (not a cell or mobile), speakers, a microphone and a webcam.

How will it work with all the different languages?

The interpreters will be with us on location and translate everything we say simultaneously. The Zoom platform has a translation function that allows participants to select an audio channel for their language. So – assuming the language is offered – each participant will hear just the one language they understand best.

When will you decide on which languages translations will be offered?

We will decide by the end of January 2021 at the latest and it will depend on how many people sign up for that language. Because simultaneous translations are quite costly, we will need a high number of attendees to sign up for that language to make the translation financially feasible. We hope we can offer a lot of translations because we know how valuable it is to be able to follow the seminar in a language you understand well – ideally your native language! 

What if there are not enough sign-ups for my language to be offered?

If your language isn’t offered you can choose to follow the seminar in one of the languages that is being offered. If your knowledge of the offered languages is not sufficient, you may cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. See the section on cancellations on the registration page.

Will we be able to see and talk to the other attendees?

During the webinar you cannot see or talk to the other attendees. But we plan to organize smaller break-out rooms during some of the breaks and in the evenings so that attendees can mingle and share. The webinar also has a chat window that will be open during breaks and allows all attendees to “talk” to each other.

Will you have an in-person seminar again in the fall of 2021?

We cannot make any long-term plans until the global pandemic situation becomes more predictable. We probably won’t know until we are well into 2021.
