Step-out of the month for June 2023: Huila

We got great submissions for our June SOOTM, and from these submissions, we present for the month the June "Huila" by Isabel Wallis.

The first steps of Huila are like "Heartrope" by Bunny Wight, but Isabel takes it in a completely different direction, ending up with something that looks like a kind of celtic knot, or like a wild Punzel. It's a fabulous tangle and we know you are all going to have fun with it.

Isabel is from Chile, and you can admire her beautiful artwork, which includes tangling and painting, on Instagram at "@wallisisabel" .

Isabel writes:

"Here is my tangle HUILA, it means wool strand in Mapudungun, which is the language of the Mapuches, American Indians of Chile and Argentina.
Huila can be used in a straight line or organically depending on how the first strokes are made."
