Stepout: Frunky
Frunky – a playful tangle by Katharina Königsbauer
The Step-out of the month for August is Ferina, deconstructed by Maria Tovar CZT14.
Whilst preparing samples for a workshop she was teaching at the CZT Days 2024, Maria was inspired by the stained-glass windows in Leon Cathedral, a beautiful gothic cathedral in northern Spain. Maria deconstructed this enchanting vining tangle that can be tangled along a string or blooming outwards filling and layering in a Hollibaugh fashion.
Maria was the first CZT from Spain and has worked with Conzentric for many years. She wanted to express her gratitude by naming this tangle after the founders Jennifer and Katharina, blending the last parts of their names together.
