July Step-out of the month: Nonom

NoNom is a tangle by Juliette Fiessinger.

Juliette is a French CZT who lives in the United States. Juliette is a member of our extended seminar team - she has already provided a simultaneous French translation for two of our previous CZT-Europe seminars, and she will be translating again for CZT-EU #6 in October.  Thanks to Juliette, many French tanglers have been able to take part in the seminar in their native language. We are delighted to feature Juliette's lovely tangle this month.

We asked Juliette how this tangle came about, and here is her answer:

"I introduced this tangle in a workshop back in 2020. I wanted to share some flowery/spring-ish tanglea and I had just seen this fascinating plant that gave me the idea for the tangle. I think it may have been something similar to Queen Ann’s Lace.

"Anyway, as I was sharing the step-by-step instructions, participants asked me what was the name of the tangle and I said it does not have a name yet.

"I might have said “no name yet”. And when it was time to name it, I use part English part French to name it : No Nom (name in French). ... I like it as it is kind of like me, part French, part American 😊."
